Buckley Vineyards came to be after Kevin and Gay Buckley acquired the 41-acre Henry Evans homestead property, with its beautiful Turkey Creek setting and mountain views. Kevin’s love of gardening led to planting a vineyard and from there everything unfolded. With the encouragement of friends and family, the winery was established. The Buckleys continue to add to their facility with two outdoor seating area, a complete wine making facility, a short block from the tasting room and a cozy cabin to rent that is very close to their tasting room and Turkey Creek.
Their primary goal has always been to make great wine. They offer wine tastings or wine by the glass or bottle. They also carry Georgia craft beers, expertly crafted cocktails, and wine slushes. To some reviewers Buckley is producing some of the very best wines in GA. Several of their wines are west coast quality.
They have some of the best winery customer service in Georgia. Their staff is very helpful, always with a smile.
I strongly suggest that you take Buckley’s VIP Tour led by Kevin or thweir General Manager. They take you to their processing facility and tells you about his wine making practices. They are extremely interesting and will answer every question asked. Then, you will experience a barrel tasting! Ask Kevin or their GM about the yeast that he uses. Personally, I think they have the best weekend musicians in North Georgia of the wineries that I have visited. They have live music Friday from 5-8 PM and Saturday - Sunday from 1:30 - 5:30 PM.
A food truck is available Friday through Sunday.
They have two HVAC units in the tasting room that have state-of-the-art, commercial duty, Ultraviolet disinfecting systems installed, designed to kill airborne viruses and bacteria.
Buckley Vineyards is wheelchair accessible and kid-friendly. They made the very difficult decision to have a no-pet policy. However, service dogs are welcome with papers.
They are open 7 days a week. Their hours:
Monday – Thursday, Saturday: 12 PM to 6 PM
Friday: 12 PM to 10 PM
Sunday: 12:30 PM to 6 PM
