Orson’s Wine Tip Tuesday: Quickly Cool Down a Bottle of Wine
This is part of our Wine Tip Tuesday series. These are tips directly from me, Orson Hall (owner of Wine Tours by Design), based on what I have learned both living in California and spending my life immersed in the wine industry.
The two fastest ways to cool down a bottle of wine:
Active Agitation (2-3 mins): In a salted ice bath, spinning or moving the bottle frequently reduces cooling time to just a few minutes.
Wet Towel Method (10-15 mins): Soak a paper towel or kitchen towel in water, wrap it around the wine bottle, and place it in the freezer.
